Walsall Beer Festival 2008
The Beer Festival this year was extremely successful, thanks to you, the public, all our unpaid volunteers and Walsall Council Leisure Services and Town Hall staff.
We sold all of the cider and perry well before 9pm on Saturday night, 92% of the beer and 80% of the bottled beers. This was despite an increased beer order. Changes introduced this year meant that we could cater for up to 900 people in the hall.
Do you want to ensure the Festival happens next year? Then join CAMRA and get involved. We are in urgent need of enthusiastic helpers and people willing to learn new skills!
IMPORTANT NOTES!
On 30 June at the Turf Tavern, Bloxwich (Tinkies) there will be a 2008 Beer Festival wind-up meeting. At this meeting the decision will be made whether or not we will be holding a festival in 2009 as some of the key organisers will be unavailable. If you want to see a festival next year, it is important that you attend this meeting or contact the Branch to let them know that you are willing to help.
